A Senior Journey for Gold -Are you a Senior Girl Scout? -Are you planning to earn your Gold Award? -Do you have  an interest in global issues pertaining to food, hunger, and/or sustainable living? If you answered YES to these questions this series is for you.  Join other Senior Girl Scouts on a Journey to prepare for earning your Gold Award.  This 6-week series will assist you in earning your Sow What? Journey as the first step in earning your Gold Award.  You will learn valuable project management skills that you will put to use in planning an event for younger girls.  At the end of this 6-week series you will have learned and practiced valuable project managment skills to assist you on your Gold Award, through high school and beyond.   To complete the journey award requirements, Seniors will plan and facilitate a workshop for younger girl scouts.  Journey session will be facilitated by a volunteer with a background in both clinical nutrition and project management.  Skills you will learn for working on your Gold Award:  Group Decision Making  Goal Setting  Project Planning Skills  Event Planning Skills Project Management Skills 

Tuesdays: March 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 5:45 PM - 7:45 PM 

Sunday May 5th 2:00 - 6:30 PM Location: Mary Nichols' Family Leadership Center 

One week we will meet at an off-site location, details will be given at first meeting. 

The cost of the Journey book, and patches are included in the program.
