Interning with Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma has many great benefits. Our internships give students the opportunity to make a difference in their community and gain valuable work experience. We serve over 11,000 girls throughout 39 counties in Western Oklahoma. In order to serve our girls to the fullest capacity we rely on the skills and talents of our wonderful volunteers and interns. An internship will include vital work that is valuable to our organization.
All applicants must be affiliated with accredited university and pursuing internship credit hours to apply.
Internship Positions Summer 2011- Spring 2012
- GO Rock Intern
The GO Rock Program (Girls of Oklahoma Rock) presents the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls in diverse settings. Interns present a 30-45 minute all ready prepared lesson to girls during the school day. This position will begin Fall 2011.
- Product Sales Intern
Product sales interns develop and implement marketing strategies for our fall product sale and cookie sale in the spring. Interns will also assist with training volunteers on the new marketing plans for the coming year. This position will begin Summer 2011.
- Troop Organizer Intern
Troop organizer interns will help plan recruitment events at schools in an assigned area. Interns will help foster relationships with parent groups and community organizations. This position will begin Fall 2011.
