them serve girls and
grow personally and professionally. We do this through educational
opportunities held throughout the year. Girl Scout University, a large
educational event held in OKC twice each year in early June and again in late
September or early October, offer opportunities for volunteers/mentors to learn
new things about Girl Scouts, child development, pathway opportunities, and so
much more. Additional local educational opportunities are offered in early
November and late January. Local opportunities offer basic courses for new
volunteers and refreshers for seasoned volunteers.
