Current Volunteer Needed
Volunteer Need: We need at least
4 volunteers for Metro Tech Mentorship Program.
Length: During the school year
Frequency: 1-2 times a week.
Location: Metro Tech Alternative
High School. 201 N.E. 48th, Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
Responsibilities: Volunteers
will be working with students in an alternative high school. This will be a
weekly after school activity were students will be learning life skills.
Volunteers will be delivering program while forming mentoring relationships
with students naturally.
Volunteer Need: We need 2-4
volunteers for a medium secure juvenile facility.
Length: year round
Frequency: 1 time a week –
Thursday from 7-8 PM
Location: Central Oklahoma
Juvenile Center – 700 S. 9th St, Tecumseh, OK
Responsibilities: Volunteers
will be delivering program to girls housed in a long-term juvenile treatment facility.
Volunteer Need: We need 2
volunteers for a minimum secure juvenile facility.
Length: year round
Frequency: 1 time a week –
Monday from 6:30-7:30 PM
Location: Fort Reno Adolescent
Center. 7905 E. HWY 66, El Reno, OK
Responsibilities: Volunteers
will be delivering program to girls housed in a long-term juvenile treatment
facility specializing in substance abuse rehabilitation.
Volunteer Need: Numerous
Length: Year-long renewable

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Responsibilities: Volunteers are
needed to sit on our Outreach Committee. This committee is has various
volunteer opportunities.
Last year more than 2,000 adults gave thousands of hours to help today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders. The estimated dollar value of volunteer time is $20.25 per hour for 2008, according to the Independent Public Sector. This means our volunteers have contributed over $1.87 million worth of time and effort to Girl scouts-Western Oklahoma, Inc. -- making them our largest and most appreciated donor.
