Girl Scouts has a different pathway for every adult volunteer! Whether you are male or female; young adult or retired; professional or stay-at-home parent, or even if you don't have a girl in Girl Scouts, we need you! Check out all of the ways you can become involved with Girl Scouts! Never been a Girl Scout? It's not too late. Girl Scouts come in all age groups—all you have to want is to make a difference in the lives of girls. Adults 18 years of age or older can join Girl Scouts to serve as a mentor or speak at a Girl Scout event, volunteer in a troop or group, offer services at the council level, or simply say "I believe in the Girl Scout mission and want to show my support by becoming a member." Last year more than 2,000 adults gave thousands of hours to help today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders. The estimated dollar value of volunteer time is $20.25 per hour for 2008, according to the Independent Public Sector. This means our volunteers have contributed over $1.87 million worth of time and effort to Girl scouts-Western Oklahoma, Inc. -- making them our largest and most appreciated donor.
