Cookie Rally Activity

To be prepared for the activity portion, make sure you have these materials available:

  • 3-5 feet of fishing line
  • Building materials like LEGOs
  • Wooden blocks, etc,
  • Scrap paper or index cards, and
  • Tape.

We all know that this year presents extra challenges when it comes to the cookie sale. We are SO proud of you girls for stepping up and taking on the challenge. We’ve Got This!!

Hopefully, you got a chance to watch our awesome virtual cookie rally. Check it out on the Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma YouTube channel if you haven’t yet! Remember the fun segment with Brooke Brown from Teach Outside the Box where you got to build a mini zipline?

Based off that segment, we present to you this challenge: we challenge you to build your own contactless cookie delivery contraption! Time to show off those innovation skills that we know you have.

What’s at stake? Well, for the top five entries, the winning girls will get to have a PRIME booth location on National Cookie Weekend, February 20th with times available between 12 - 6pm. And on top of that, each prime selling location will be visited by a surprise celebrity guest to help boost sales!  And of course, you will bring your winning contraption to use for cookie selling at the booth.

Cookie Contraption Contest Rules

There are only a few rules, and here they are:

  1. The contraption must allow the customer to remain 6-feet away throughout the entire transaction

  2. The cookies are never touched with bare hands

  3. The contraption does not damage the cookies or the box
