The Camp Pathway captures participation in outdoor programs, such as resident camp, day camp and group camping weekends. It allows girls to participate in the outdoors and/or focus on environmental education. Camping allows for flexibility in delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and for girls of a variety of ages and interests to participate. The Camp Pathway is available to any girl regardless of previous Girl Scout involvement. Resident camp and Day Camp is offered during the summer, fall break and spring break. Throughout the fall and spring there are many council wide weekend offerings as well. Going to camp is one of the most popular and recognized aspects of Girl Scouts. For many girls, camp is the first opportunity they have to experience archery, fishing, ropes course, horseback riding, canoeing, outdoor living skills and S.T.E.M. programming.

Camp Mission Statement: Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma’s camps will excel in providing each girl a positive, safe, nurturing camp environment where she will discover strengths and skills for life, connect to other girls and nature, and take action for a better world.
Campsites
Girl Scouts-Western Oklahoma, Inc. currently runs two camp facilities. Camps are available for groups to rent for a day or overnight in the off-season. Contact the Council office for renting information.
Camp E-Ko-Wah is located near Marlow, Oklahoma in a beautiful lake front setting and serves as our resident camp in the summer season. The camp includes a dining hall, swimming pool, an archery range, crafts center and basketball courts. This facility also boasts a waterfront dock where girls can paddle-boat, canoe and fish. This camp serves as the home for our adventure challenge programs with our Low Ropes course as well as our Mid High Course. Sleeping arrangements include tree house cabins and ground level cabins, which sleep 8-10 girls each. All units are lighted, have flush toilets and showers available. Each unit has a separate cabin in which summer camp staff are housed. They are close by and available for quick response day and night for camper assistance.
Cookieland is located in Newalla, Oklahoma which serves as the day camp location during summer, fall, and spring breaks. It is a camp that is close to the metro but with abundant nature to explore. The facility has two large cabins with kitchens, flush toilets, and showers that house 20 participants each. Cookieland also has many trails, primitive camp sites, a labyrinth, craft building and an activity field.
