2024 Honorary Chair: Jean McLaughlin
2024 Juliette Low Leadership Society Honorary Chair Jean McLaughlin
lives out the Girl Scout values and inspires us all.
Jean and her late husband, David, moved to OKC more than fifty years
ago and she has been a prolific community volunteer, serving many
nonprofits and organizations in addition to Girl Scouts, while she
raised four children.
She is the Chair of the McLaughlin Family Foundation, which she
founded along with her family. The Foundation has improved countless
lives since 2004. Jean’s instinctive ability to see the potential of
all children and provide guidance on initiatives that enable youth to
thrive, makes her a treasured part of our Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma community.
Jean has been a steadfast supporter of the Juliette Low Leadership
Society since our first luncheon. We are honored to celebrate Jean and
thank her for the many ways she and her family have championed Girl
Scouts, including their lead contribution to help build Camp Trivera.
Jean told us that David regularly expressed special interest and pride
in Camp Trivera, the first Girl Scout Urban STEM Camp in the nation.
We are grateful for Jean who enthusiastically embodies our promise
and law. She is a gift to our organization and our city. Jean
McLaughlin truly makes our world a better place.
