2026 Luncheon Speaker: Amelia Rose Earhart

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma is proud to announce that Amelia Rose Earhart—pilot, author, artist, professional speaker and former Girl Scout—will serve as the featured speaker for the 22nd Annual Juliette Low Leadership Society (JLLS) Luncheon.

Named after the legendary aviator Amelia Mary Earhart, Amelia Rose Earhart drew inspiration from her namesake’s pioneering spirit. In 2014, she successfully circumnavigated the globe, flying 28,000 nautical miles in a single-engine aircraft—a journey that fulfilled her lifelong dream and paid tribute to her namesake’s unfinished mission. A Girl Scout patch, gifted to her by Girl Scouts of Colorado, traveled with her on that flight as a symbol of the organization’s enduring impact on young women and leaders across the world.

Today, Amelia shares her story of courage, resilience and determination with audiences around the globe, encouraging others to “learn to love life’s turbulence” and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. She has inspired leaders and teams at organizations including Apple, Boeing, American Express, Berkshire Hathaway and United Healthcare.

With fifteen years of experience as a helicopter and breaking news reporter in Denver and Los Angeles, Amelia brings an authentic and grounded perspective to her work as a speaker and author. As founder and former president of the Fly With Amelia Foundation, she helped send numerous teenage girls to flight school, empowering the next generation of aviators. She also hosts a tech podcast focused on the future of AI in business and is now turning her aerial photographs into original paintings.

In her recently published book, Learn to Love the Turbulence: “Flight Lessons” on Becoming the Pilot in Command of Your Own Journey, Amelia shares insights on navigating life with agility and confidence—much like a pilot navigating shifting skies.

2026 Honorary Chair: Tricia Everest

We are thrilled to announce that the 2026 Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon Honorary Chair is Tricia Everest!

A fourth-generation Oklahoman, Tricia Everest grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Casady High School before earning her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University. She began her career as a legal assistant at Crowe and Dunlevy, where she also supported Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. After graduation, she served the State as an assistant attorney general.

In 2010, Tricia shifted her focus to building public-private partnerships that create pathways to hope and opportunity. She became the founding Chair of ReMerge, a program that diverts mothers from prison and helps them create strong, healthy futures for themselves and their children. She also plays an integral role as the founding Chair of Palomar, which removes barriers for abuse victims to access the care and services they need.

In addition, she has championed the arts, education and community well-being as Chair of Allied Arts, past-Chair of the YMCA—where she was the first woman to lead the organization’s 128-year history—and through service on numerous nonprofit boards and commissions. Tricia has also been a steadfast supporter of the Juliette Low Leadership Society since its inception, continuing a family tradition of leadership and service. Her mother, Christy Everest, made history as the very first JLLS Luncheon co-chair, and Tricia proudly carried that baton the following year. For more than two decades, the two have shared their time, talents and passion for Girl Scouts, modeling the power of female mentorship, mother–daughter bonds and the lasting impact of strong women lifting up the next generation of leaders.

Tricia’s outstanding leadership and commitment have been recognized widely. Amongst a number of recognitions, she received the Lee Allen Smith Oklahoma Legacy Award in 2013. OCBA presented her with the President’s Professional Award in 2017.

In 2019, she was inducted into the OCU Meinders Hall of Honor for Business and Commerce. Tricia received the State’s Highest Honor in 2019 with her induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Tricia received the 2020 Volunteer of the Year from the Department of Justice for her work with crime victims. In 2023, inducted into the Order of the Owl, the University of Oklahoma College of Law’s highest honor. She also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Oklahoma City University. Today, Tricia continues her service to the State as Cabinet Secretary of Public Safety.

Tricia’s work reflects more than a record of service—it shows a deep commitment to empowering women, uplifting families, and building a stronger Oklahoma for future generations. Her bold leadership embodies the very values Girl Scouts strive to instill in every girl: courage, confidence, and character. Through her vision and example, she reminds us all that lasting change begins when one person steps forward to make the world a better place.
