Named for the Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, the Juliette Low Leadership Society (JLLS) raises critical funds and awareness to support Girl Scout programming across central and western Oklahoma. Since 2004, JLLS has raised $7.1 million, providing leadership development, life skills, outdoor exploration and transformative camp experiences for more than 20,000 girls.
This year, under the leadership of co-chairs Joy LaBar and Debbie McKinney, with Tricia Everest serving as honorary chair, more than 550 supporters gathered for our 22nd Annual Juliette Low Leadership Society Luncheon at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The event raised a record-breaking $500,000 to support Girl Scouts across western Oklahoma, making it the most successful lunchoen in our history. From an inspiring message by keynote speaker Ameilia Rose Earhart to hearing directly from Girl Scouts in attendance, the impact was clear: when you believe in girls, you invest in the future.
Thank you to our dedicated committee, sponsors and volunteers for making this milestone possible and for championing 22 years of leadership in girls. Because of your support, girls across our council are building resilience, finding belonging and strengthening positive relationships—gaining the courage, confidence and character to lead today and shape tomorrow.
