We will be spending the weekend camping together, eating fabulous
meals cooked outdoors around a fire and hiking and bouldering around
the amazing Wichita Mountains. The fall color is usually just winding
up, but still very beautiful. We usually spend Saturday hiking and
scrambling around big boulders and dry caves.
The Wichita
Mountains Wildlife Refuge is approximately 1.5 hours south of Oklahoma
City. We will be meeting up in the park on Friday evening and spending
the night in a campground.
*** Our ability to go bouldering is
highly dependent on the weather. Wet rock is dangerous rock. This
event may be canceled should the weekend look very wet.
