How do I get the Girl Scout Experience Box?
Because you are leading a first-year Daisy (K–1) troop (a new group of Daisy Girl Scouts coming together for the first time this year), you are eligible to participate. Whether you are a more experienced Girl Scout volunteer (e.g., you also lead a third grade Brownie troop) or a brand-new volunteer (you’re starting a new troop and don’t volunteer for Girl Scouts otherwise), we’re sure this resource will be a game changer! Contact gjallen@gswestok.org for next steps.
I started a Daisy troop last year. Can I be part of the program?
• This program is designed around the Daisy First Year Troop Plan so the material (the Daisy Petals) may not be appropriate for second-year Daisies. If you’d like to talk more about this program and the support available to you as a troop leader, contact us.
Why isn’t this available for other levels?
• We are currently offering this program to first-year Daisy troops with the possibility of adding more program levels in the future.
Are the materials available in Spanish?
• Yes! We’re thrilled to offer the Girl Scout Experience Box for New Daisies in a bilingual format. If you’d like to request Spanish materials, please indicate that when you redeem your boxes.
Is this different than the badge kits I can buy in the council shop?
• Yes. Daisy Badge Kits were developed for leaders to purchase through the Girl Scout Shop. There are three different kits based on three of our most popular Daisy badges, which fall outside of the Daisy First Year Troop Year Plan. These kits have a few key differences from the monthly supply boxes:
o Badge kits are stocked with supplies for only four Girl Scout Daisies; complimentary supply boxes contain supplies for all Girl Scout Daisies registered in the troop.
o Badge kits include Badge Requirements Booklets; monthly supply boxes contain scripts for troop leaders to use when implementing the badge and petal activities.
o Badge kits were created to be purchased, and therefore include additional Girl Scout– branded items, whereas supply kits include almost all the basic supplies a troop needs to complete a badge, like scissors, but do not include branded items.
Can I just buy the boxes?
• No. The boxes are provided as a complimentary resource for new troop leaders and are not for sale.
What’s in the box?
• Girl Scout Experience Boxes include step-by-step instructions, ready-to-go supplies for all Daisies registered in the troop, and thoughtful script suggestions. Meeting plans follow the Daisy First Year Troop Plan. If you’re interested in starting a troop or have additional questions, contact us.
Are the badges Girl Scouts earn included?
• No, the badges and petals earned are not included in the box. We encourage Girl Scouts and their families to visit our shops online or in person at the Retail Shop located at the Council to purchase the badges and petals earned along with all the Girl Scout gear you’ll need.
Will there be enough supplies for all troop members, even if I add girls later?
• In most cases, yes, there will be enough supplies (and likely some extra you can save for the future!). There may be some instances in which you don’t receive enough or need more supplies based on your troop members’ needs. If you need additional supplies, contact us.
Can I get my box sooner?
• No. Boxes are all shipped on the same day.
I missed a couple of boxes because my troop started after they began shipping. Can I still get the boxes I missed?
• We’re unable to provide you with the boxes you missed. If your troop would like to complete the activities to earn the petals, we recommend you utilize the resources available in the Volunteer Toolkit to plan those meetings.
Can we change the order in which we receive the boxes or skip a month?
• We are not able to change the order in which you receive your boxes. You may, however, choose to use them in a different order, add other programming your Girl Scouts are interested in, or wait to use a box at a different time of year. If you have additional questions about planning your troop year, contact us.

Where do these products come from? Who makes them? Are they all verified safe for small children?
• Girl Scouts of the USA is dedicated to the health and safety of girls and their families, and our merchandise products are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed all applicable government product safety standards. Girls and their families can rest assured that product safety is of the utmost concern to us. Program
How is this girl-led?
• The monthly supply box scripts and instructions are designed to help Girl Scouts lead throughout each Daisy meeting. There are many activities that allow Daisies to take the lead in age- appropriate ways like sharing their opinions and values during conversations with their leaders and peers. Plus, activities like setting up snacks and supplies, making a list of friendship values, and paying each other kind compliments help Daisies develop their own unique voice and early leadership skills. Girl Scouts also make group decisions on what they want to do as a team beyond their troop meetings including field trips, community service projects, and how they will run their Girl Scout Cookie business and use the funds.
How were the badges and awards included in the box chosen?
• The monthly supply box content was developed around the Daisy First Year Troop Plan. To develop this plan, we collected a variety of our most popular badges and awards into one action-packed plan!
